When in the year 2000 I went to fetch this first of my Border Terriers,
I did not aim to have a show dog, but more of a companion at home and while hunting.
I definitely gave up the idea of Tricky’s carreer as a show dog,
when the four months old puppy fell from a several meters high stone wall
and screws were required to fix his badly shattered front leg.
It seemed pretty clear to me that Tricky will be limping the rest of his life.
Thanks to a great deal of luck and probably more thanks to the skills of
the VET, the leg healed without obvious consequences and it was decided to
enter Tricky in at least one competition. Since Tricky from the very start was
very successful, it was decided to enter further shows and Tricky gradually won
titles as Czech Junior Champion, Czech Champion, Slovak champion, Top Border
Terrier in 2003, 4th place in the Champion of Champions contest 2003,
International Champion of Beauty and Slovak Grand Champion.
